Humorous Song About the Secret Life of Monkfish (Weekend Video Spotlight)

Weekend Video Spotlight As Monkfish (also known as Anglerfish) become a popular choice on restaurant menus and supermarket seafood counters, I thought it was high time to share a humorous video I found which will help you get to know more about these delicious enigmas of the deep.

Find out why male monkfish never have to send Valentines cards to their female counterparts, why both should floss, and why neither the male or female monkfish are likely to enter any beauty contests anytime soon.

The answers provided in the wonderfully goofy music video below by YouTube user VlogBrothers might both surprise you and perhaps even cheer you up!

Enjoy! (The music video starts after a 34 second introduction.)

Creamy Italian Artichoke Soup Recipe (Soup Recipe of the Week)

See More Soup Recipes Organized by Type Artichokes are a wonderful healing food that are a prominent and tasty part of Mediterranean cuisine. As someone who considers marinated artichoke hearts to be a nearly perfect snack food, I was very happy to have come across the below artichoke soup recipe when my friend on StumbleUpon sent it to me.

(I’m huggingthecoast on StumbleUpon.)

Needless to say, I’m really looking forward to trying this soup which is from the What’s Cookin’ Italian Style Cuisine Food Blog.

One of the interesting things about this artichoke soup recipe is that it’s a nice way to help use up one’s winter stock of canned soup, while the addition of wine, garlic, and heavy cream help add sophistication and flavor depth to the Creamy Italian Artichoke Soup.

Fun food fact about artichokes, according to FoodReference.Com, in 1947 Marilyn Monroe was crowned Artichoke Queen in Castroville, California.

Enjoy!

Creamy Italian Artichoke Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

4 cans artichoke hearts drained and put through the food processor till pureed
