If you ask me, it’s never too early to start planning Thanksgiving.
One of the busiest cooking days of the year, a large home-cooked Thanksgiving is the perfect excuse to spoil your family and friends.
However, since very few of us are experienced short order cooks or caterers used to cooking for a crowd, it’s all too easy to end up overwhelmed in the kitchen, leaving your hungry guests to silently wonder if any dinner will be served at all.
This is why it’s always a smart idea to have a good chip and dip recipe on hand for just those times, like this party friendly appetizer recipe for Sweet Potato and Chickpea Hummus from the folks at One Ordinary Day.
You can easily make this sweet potato hummus ahead of time and toast the pita chips just before you serve them, or just substitute some nice whole-grain crackers if you’re running way behind schedule.
