If you’re looking for fun watermelon dessert recipes that you can make with 1 large watermelon, you’ll love these 2 easy make ahead recipes for Rum Spiked Watermelon for Adults and Wiggly Jiggly Jello Watermelon for Kids.
One of the great things about these 2 watermelon recipes is how perfectly they compliment each other. The Rum Spiked Watermelon for Adults uses only the sweet center of the watermelon itself while the Wiggly Jiggly Jello Watermelon uses only the rind; allowing you to serve 1 watermelon 2 different ways.
Both of these fruit recipes are very easy to make and would work well for any casual party or get together.
Enjoy!
Ingredients for the Rum Spiked Watermelon for Adults from the folks at Yumsugar Kitchen Goddess:

Ingredients for Wiggly Jiggly Jello Watermelon for the Kids from the folks at Gourmet Mom on the Go:
(This recipe makes enough to fill 1/2 of a watermelon. To make enough for an entire watermelon, just double the ingredients.)
Watermelon rind
4 large boxes red jell-o (6 oz., we used cherry)
5 cups water (DO NOT follow the water instructions on the jell-o box, your “watermelon” will not hold its shape)
1/4 c. mini chocolate chips
