Packed with fresh strawberries and enrobed in a sinful chocolate ganache, this is the cake you make when you want to truly spoil those closest to you.

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups (360g) unbleached all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 1/2 sticks (12 tablespoons, or 170g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups (330g) granulated sugar
8 egg whites
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups (340g) milk
2 tablespoons dark cocoa powder (Dutch processed)
1/3 cup (55g) chocolate chips, melted and cooled
1 14 ounce (400g) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup (230mL) milk
1 cup (230mL) heavy cream
1 pint strawberries
2 tablespoons sugar

3/4 cup heavy cream
1 12 ounce bag (340g) chocolate chips
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 tablespoon honey

Several things interest me about this recipe. Honey in the ganache- very cool addition. Then, you can never go wrong with strawberries and chocolate:) I have also heard several people use sour cream in their cake, but i have never actually tried it. What exactly does the sour cream add….moisture?
