When I think about Mother’s Day recipes I think of chocolate, and when I think of chocolate I can’t help remembering these sinfully good gourmet truffles by Alton Brown.
Below is a delicious chocolate dessert recipe for Alton Brown’s Gourmet Chocolate Truffles via the folks at the Food Network. You’ll need to make at least one extra batch of these for, er– sampling purposes.

Ingredients:
10 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped fine
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1/4 cup brandy
1/2 cup Dutch process cocoa powder, finely chopped nuts, and/or toasted coconut, for coating truffles

This is what I want for Mother’s Day, but since the hubby cant cook a lick, guess I will make them for myself- lol. Isnt Alton Brown just the best. Love his show.
