In the short video below, Dawn Wells, the former star of the classic TV series Gilligan’s Island (she played Mary Ann) will show you how to quickly remove the skin from a lot of potatoes using a pot of boiling water and a bowl of ice water.
Using a potato peeler to peel the skin from a large batch of potatoes can be a bit tedious, so this method is a nice change when making such dishes as homemade mashed potatoes or potato salad.
