With Lent just around the corner for those who celebrate it, Mardi Gras is a time of culinary (and other) indulgences that is popular all over the world, from New Orleans, Louisiana to Venice, Italy.

With 70% of the United States (including Charleston, SC) ending up covered in snow this winter (49 of all 50 states), it sure seems like a good time to spoil yourself a little.



2 Lb. 21-26 count Shrimp, tail on, butterfly
1/2 Lb. Back fin Crabmeat
1/2 Lb. Claw Crabmeat
1/2 Cup Green onions, chopped
1/2 Cup Celery, minced
3 Cloves Garlic, minced
1/2 Each Juice from lemon
2 Tsp Cajun Spice Blend, divided
1 Tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tsp Crystal Hot Sauce
2 Each Eggs, beaten
1 Cup Italian Breadcrumbs, divided
1 Cup Panko Breadcrumbs, divided
1/2 Tsp Sea Salt
