If you love Tex-Mex style food, here’s a Super Bowl party friendly appetizer recipe for an addictive Mexican Black Bean Tart With Cornmeal Crust from the folks at Too Many Chefs.
Featuring the major food groups of fresh salsa, black beans, hot peppers, lime, and hot sauce, this recipe will help you get your party started right!

Ingredients:
For the Crust:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter, cut into 32 small cubes and chilled
1/4 cup ice water
pinch of salt
For the Black Bean Filling:
2 cans drained black beans, pref. organic
1/4 cup fresh chopped cilantro
big pinch of salt
1 tablespoon Tabasco or Louisiana hot sauce
1 taspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon cumin
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons tequila
1/2 cup shredded Chihuahua cheese
For the Salsa:
2 tomatoes, ripe and red, diced
1 jalapeno, chopped small
1 anaheim pepper, chopped small
1/4 cup fresh chopped cilantro
6 green onions, slices thin - white and green portions
1 tablespoon lime or lemon juice
1 clove garlic minced fine
