Here’s a soup recipe for Lasagna Soup from the folks at Culinary in the Desert inspired by the flavors and ingredients of Italian lasagna.

Ingredients:
16 ounces hot Italian turkey sausage
2 cups diced onions
1 cup diced carrots
5 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
4 cups chicken broth
14 1/2 ounce can fire roasted crushed tomatoes
10 ounces tomato sauce
1 cup dry Campanelle pasta
2 cups chopped fresh spinach
4 ounces diced provolone cheese
1 ounce fresh grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon sliced fresh basil

I cannot wait to try this one!!!! i bet its as good as the ravioli lasagna!!!
