Loveliest of trees, the cherry now
Is hung with bloom along the bough,
And stands about the woodland ride
Wearing white for Eastertide.
–A. E. Housman
Whenever I think of Easter, it is the colors that I first remember. The newly minted green of Spring leaves in the trees. The early sunrise pinks of tigerlilies and cherry blossoms.
And then, of course, the food; the white of powdered sugar and eggs waiting to be dyed. Carnival colored jellybeans. Lemon tinted Peeps and chocolate bunnies nesting peacefully in baskets.
Here’s a few sweet and delicious Easter recipes to help you conjure up images and memories of your own as you celebrate with family and friends. Enjoy!
