March’s Free Cookbook Preview…
Been to Google Books lately? Google Books has been gradually placing the full text of thousands of books online, many of them free full previews of culinary books that are either out-of-print or have been added online with the permission of their publishers.
One of the former gems we’ve recently stumbled upon is The Edible Mollusks of Great Britain and Ireland, With Recipes for Cooking Them, a 207 page book of interesting shellfish and seafood trivia as well as historical recipes by M.S. Lovell.
if you’ve ever wondered what cooking and food preparation was like in the Victorian Era, this book will give you a wonderful sense of it as it was published in 1867.
You can read the whole book for free on Google Books here…enjoy!
