Alas, our new recipe for Crispy Benne Seed Party Bites With Louisiana Honey Mustard won’t be up on Hugging the Coast until December 29th.

Perfect for either Christmas or New Year’s party appetizers, these delicious and easy to make finger foods feature scallions, peppers, celery, peanuts, sesame seeds (also known as benne seeds here in Charleston, SC), and soy sauce and can be made with either pork or ground beef or turkey…enjoy!

We love to see your southern style holiday recipes. Up here on Nova Scotia’s Authentic Seacoast we have some holiday favorites like Pork Pie. Us coastal folks are a bit different, so there’s actually no pork and it’s not a pie, but delicious date tarts.

These all sound great but I’m most excited about the chicken pomegranate stuffed shells and the coconut chipotle mojo shrimp.
I’m definitely going to have to try these while I’m home for the holidays (and by extension, not the one paying for groceries).
